My sons case manager gave us info on this program. I have been researching it for over an hour now. So far Im disappointed in what Im finding. I want to see what the participants actually do in their classes. So many of these programs are nothing but hype. Im still unsure of exactly what it is this program is going to offer my son in a 10 day program where he gets to chose 3 different vocations to study. Is this certificate worth the paper its printed on. How is he going to learn that much about any 1 subject to earn a certificate from the state?

@PrincessKLS And of course the instructor of the class was all about brainwashing the younger children into not using anything other then "PWD" or "chair user" and didn't listen or take my stance against the terms in consideration. It was almost like they weren't open to discussing different perspectives.

I went there recently for about a week for driver's education and yes I was one of the oldest students there but I have to say I didn't like it much. I had some orientation classes with the life skills group and in one of the classes we got into a debate about terminology used to describe the disabled community and I argued against the use of "People with Disabilities". I grew up with "mental retarded" used as a insult, so to me using the term, "disabled people" is quite a step up.

This is awsome. Im a c5-6 quadriplegic n there are many things ppl with disabillties must overcome. I am currently attending WWRC n will also b doing a driving program. Keep on keppn on George u r an inspiration to alot of ppl I am sure.

This was a good idea doing a virtual tour of the nature trail.

The nature trail opening was a success. I am glad that I was able to be a part of it. It was a rewarding experience to be able to meet new people & meet all the people who were a part of helping the nature trail become what it is today.

Tremaine Rollins is an inspiration for others in a wheelchair. I was lucky enough to get to know Tremaine & able to work with him while serving as Student Government President for WWRC.

I am lucky that I was able to meet Governor Tim Kaine. I was one of the 3 students that was chosen to work on the 2008 Annual Report for WWRC & was lucky enough to get a copy of the Annual Report signed by Governor Tim Kaine. He is so down to earth & laid back. Virginia is lucky to have him as our Governor.

This is the best school I have ever attended. This was a great video. I miss all the staff, they are the best staff that WWRC could ever ask for.

This is a GREAT video. Well done video at that. I am glad to say that I was able to be a part of the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Business Information Technology department as a vocational student there. I learned a lot in my program which was Web Applications Developer/Web Design. I recommend going into the Business Information Technology programs if you choose any program at WWRC.
